Not Long

With crippling thoughts she cried,
for tear dries before it drops.
With piercing pain he bled,
for blood drops before it dries.

Thoughts lasts enough till the mind sleeps,
Pain lasts enough till the brain sleeps.

For slumber is the solution for all,
she cried that he bled
and he bled that she cried,
all before the end, sleep.
